Qualifications:
A. This position of necessity requires a man with spiritual maturity. This would be characterized by love for
God and others, humility, obedience to God’s Word, and a desire for continual growth in his relationship to
the LORD. This person will lead an open and transparent life, expecting to be challenged by the senior
pastor and others he may choose to personal holiness, purity, and a lifestyle honoring to God and his family.
B. Five years minimum full time experience in a multi-staff church
C. Must be musically gifted (preferably both vocally and instrumentally)
D. Leadership ability in
1. team building
2. one on one and group mentoring/discipling of volunteer staff
3. ministry vision and direction
E. Master’s Degree preferred (i.e. M.Div., Th.M., MA, MM)
F. Possess a strong administrative/organizational nature
G. Understanding of audio/video technology
H. Be in full agreement with the doctrinal statement of the Christian & Missionary Alliance

ministry, delegate well to others, exhibit follow through and produce results, and have a capacity to grow
himself, others, and his position
Team Ministry Philosophy
The pastoral team serves together as colleagues and partners in ministry. While the senior pastor assumes the responsibility of the pastoral team, each team member plays a critical role in the leadership and ministry of the church. Ministry together is first spiritual, then relational. Spiritual maturity, relational health, and true community are qualities we pursue as a team as we allow iron to sharpen iron! Our church wants to bless its pastors by giving them opportunities to grow, and to be spiritually, emotionally, relationally, psychologically, and physically healthy and whole – men who walk with God and lead their family and ministry well.
General Responsibilities:
Worship Ministry:
A. Teach, model and oversee worship for the church body
B. Recruit, train, equip and lead worship team members both spiritually and musically
C. Understand audio-visual technology to clearly communicate with the sound, lighting, and tech team
members, creating a quality atmosphere for worship – where people connect with God, His Word and each
other
D. Oversee auditorium/lobby environment and written/posted communication as part of the overall Sunday
morning worship experience
E. Future development of children’s and youth music programs
F. Pursue continued growth and development with senior pastor through books, leadership lessons,
conferences, etc.
NextGen Ministry:
A. Oversee all ministries to those 25&Under
B. Recruit, train, equip and lead 25&Under team members
1. Encourage, resource, and support ministry leaders in the Children’s Ministries
2. Lead in a hands-on manner youth ministry team members in Junior/Senior High Groups
3. Develop an overall ministry vision and plan for college and young adult age, recruiting and training leaders
4. Provide for parenting classes/groups/training
C. Develop a comprehensive spiritual formation plan for youth grades 6-12, working in partnership with
Children’s Ministry Team leaders
Other Ministry
A. Serve as a member of the pastoral leadership team, reporting directly to the senior pastor
B. Serve as an Elder, on the Elder Team
C. Preach/teach as needed by senior pastor as part of the preaching/teaching team
D. Assist senior pastor in member care and pastoral care visits as needed
E. Other duties as specified by the Senior Pastor.
